The next Nintendo Direct digital event will take place today and it promises a host of Switch announcements.
Kicking off at 7am PT / 12pm ET / 3pm BST on Tuesday, September 13,Nintendo has said the presentation will include“roughly 40 minutes of information mainly focused onNintendo Switchgames launching this winter”.

WhileNintendo UK won’t live stream the Nintendo Direct“as a mark of respect” to Queen Elizabeth II, you’ll be able to watch it live via theNintendoof America YouTube stream embedded at the top of this page.
The event had been long expected followingmultiple reportsover the last weeks, some of which suggested the company will announcenew Zelda and Metroid Prime remasters.

GamesBeat managing editor Mike Minotti and Grubbpreviously claimed that Zelda and Metroid portswould be part of the next Direct, and the latter said this weekend he understands that’s still the case.
“We’ve heard that Zelda stuff will be there; the name of the next Zelda game and the HD ports of the Zelda games from Wii U. I hope that’s the case, it seems like that should be the case, that’s what we’ve heard,” Grubb said.

“Also, Metroid Prime HD remasters should be coming out this holiday, so we should get that as well, and then there’s stuff like Fire Emblem that has been rumoured and seems like it makes a lot of sense, but I can’t confirm, and then stuff likeEAannouncingIt Takes Two.
“It should be a pretty robust Direct and I’m looking forward to it.”
