How to get Emblems in Pokemon TCG Pocket
At launch, there was seemingly no way to get Emblems in Pokemon Pocket outside of using Tokens in the shop, so your profile was destined to look largely empty for all eternity.
Clicking on the three available Emblem slots wouldn’t give you a list of Emblems to choose from, nor would it tell you how to unlock any.
It’s only with the launch of the third in-game Pokemon Pocket event on November 7, around a week after launch, that the first free Pokemon TCG Pocket Emblems were released.
So, to get your very first Emblems to add to your profile for free, you need to take part in theGenetic Apex Emblem event.
This event requires you to play against (and beat) real opponents through the Battle menu. Tap into that, then Versus, then tap Event Match to pair against others playing the event.

You can earn your first TCG Pocket emblem by winning matches in this event. The design of said emblem will become more elaborate the more matches you win:
The in-game guide states that some emblems require consecutive victories. The Genetic Apex Emblem event doesn’t feature one of these, but future battle-focused Emblem events likely will.
You can check how many wins you have during the Genetic Apex Emblem event through the Event Match screen as you choose a deck before joining the queue to find an opponent.
Can you play the Genetix Apex Emblem event with friends or solo?
No, the Genetic Apex Emblem event uses a random matchmaking system and is a multiplayer-only event.
You won’t pair with computers, and while you might get lucky and match with a friend if you queue at the same time, it’s highly unlikely.
There could also be a system in place to prevent matching with those on your friends list to limit the issue of win trading for emblems.
