The latest Horizon Zero Dawn PC patch includes fixes for some of the game’s “trickier graphical issues”.
According to developerGuerrilla Games, patch 1.07 introduces a fix for anisotropic filtering not working and improves the way the game optimises shaders.

Each time players start the game it will begin optimising shaders in the main menu. While users can skip this process and let the optimisations run in the background during play, letting it finish before jumping into the game will improve loading times.
Guerrilla alsosayschanging anisotropic filtering settings “can take some time depending on yourPChardware”.

Patch 1.07 is the latest in a series of updates designed to addressa range of technical issuesthat have been present since the game’s release in August.
