The upcoming Bond game from IO Interactive will have a style more in line with modern Bond movies, according to a new report.

The latest issue of Edge magazine (viaGamesRadar) features an interview withIO InteractiveCEO Hakan Abran, in which the topic of Project 007 is raised.

Hitman studio IO’s Project 007 is ‘closer to Daniel Craig than Roger Moore’

While the game is still some way off, and details therefore remain thin on the ground, Abran did at least give some information on the overall vibe and aim for the game.

Edge’s report reads: “The few other breadcrumbs we’re able to pick up in the office suggest a tone closer to Daniel Craig than Roger Moore, and perhaps a more scripted experience than Hitman’s freeform jaunts.”

It also quotes Abran as saying the game has been pitched as “the ultimate spycraft fantasy”, then suggests this may mean a focus on gadgets and maybe fewer murder-focused objectives than the Hitman games.
