New Helldivers 2 details have been announced ahead of the game’s release for PS5 and PC next month.
In aPlayStationBlog post, developerArrowhead Game Studiosconfirmed that the game will support cross-play.
It also revealed the title’s minimum, recommended, performance, and ultra system specifications forPC, which are viewable below.
And it has released a newtrailerfor the third-person co-op shooter, which will be published bySonyon February 8.
Announced during a PlayStation Showcaseevent last May, Helldivers was initially scheduled for release in 2023before being delayed.
It’s a sequel to Helldivers, which was originally released in 2015 forPS3,PS4andVita.
Taking inspiration from military sci-fi like Starship Troopers, it also became the first Sony game to published on PC later that same year.
“Join forces with up to three friends and wreak havoc on an alien scourge threatening the safety of your home planet, Super Earth, in this multiplayer co-op shooter,” reads the game’s PlayStation Store listing.
“Step into the boots of the Helldivers, an elite class of soldiers whose mission is to spread peace, liberty and Managed Democracy using the biggest, baddest and most explosive tools in the galaxy.
“Helldivers don’t go planet side without proper backup, but it’s up to you to decide how and when to call it in. Not only do you have a host of superpowered primary weapons and customizable loadouts, you also have the ability to call on stratagems during play.”
