Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has been given a Nintendo Switch release date of Thursday April 11.
Ninja Theoryrevealedthe launch date for the digital-only release on Twitter. It’ll cost $29.99/£24.99/€29.99 onNintendoeShop.

Announced in February 2019, theSwitchport of the game has been handled by Polish studioQLOC, which previously worked on entries in theDark Souls, Devil May Cry,Street FighterandMortal Kombatseries, among others.
Originally developed by Ninja Theory, the studio behind Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, Hellblade first released onPS4andPCin August 2017, before arriving onXbox Onein April 2018.

Set in the Viking age, the critically acclaimed action adventure game sees players take on the role of a Celtic warrior who embarks on a haunting vision quest to fight for the soul of her dead lover.
Created in collaboration with neuroscientists and people who experience psychosis, it was widely praised for its portrayal of mental health issues and was the big winner at the 2018 British Academy Games Awards, taking home five prizes, including wins in the Performer and Game Beyond Entertainment categories.

At E3 in June 2018,Microsoftannounced that it had acquired Ninja Theory, alongsideForza HorizonstudioPlayground Games, State of Decay makerUndead Labs, and We Happy Few creatorCompulsion Games.
