Microsoft is reportedly bringing Hellblade 2 to PlayStation 5, and it could do so sooner rather than later.
That’s according to Windows Central executive editor Jez Corden, who mentionedMicrosoft’s plans forNinja Theory’s game on X on Tuesday.

Sonytoday announced plans tohold a 40-minute State of Play presentation on Wednesday, which will focus on upcomingPS5games.
“Hellblade 2time maybe? :)”, Corden wrote in response to theState of Playnews.

On the subject of whether the game will be released for Sony’s console at some point,he added: “Not if, ‘when!’ and when is pretty soon from what I’ve been hearing.”
Xboxannounced last February plans to bring a wave of games toPlayStationandNintendo Switch, in what appeared to be a significant change of strategy, starting withPentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Grounded.

Later,Microsoft announced Doom: The Dark AgesforXbox Series X/S,PC, and PS5, and confirmed thata PS5 version of its Indiana Jones gamewill be releasedthis spring.
Forza Horizon 5will alsobe released for PS5 this spring, Microsoft announced last month. And just last week,Xbox revealed plansto bring Age of Mythology: Retold and Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition to Sony’s console this year too.

Last November, Microsoft’s gaming CEOPhil Spencerreiterated that the companywon’t rule out any first-party Xbox game potentially coming to rival platformssuch as PlayStation andNintendoin the future.
Matt Booty, Microsoft’s president of game content and studios, also toldVarietyin December: “We are very much making the [exclusivity and windowing] decisions on a game by game basis. And each of our studios is in a little bit of a different position.

“There’s also the production timeline on a game, so the decision on spacing comes there first. We want to make sure there’s a great experience for our Xbox players, and then the gap between [when it becomes available on PlayStation] is as much a production decision as it is anything else.”
