Hasbro has said that it would like to see Microsoft revive Activision’s old Transformers games via Game Pass.
Activisionreleased several Transformers games during theXbox 360era that are now no longer purchasable digitally due to licensing issues.
However, now, following the imminent deal which would seeMicrosoftown Activision, Hasbro is hopeful this could spark a revival.
During an interview withTransformers World, the Habsro team said: “Sadly, apparently Activision’s not sure what hard drives they’re on in their building. When a company eats a company that eats a company things get lost, and that’s very frustrating.

Hasbro has now apologised to Activisionfor claiming it had lost its Transformers games.
According to a statement provided to VGC, Hasbro says the comments were made “in error”.
“Hope is that now that the deal is moving forward with Microsoft andXboxthey’ll go through all of the archives and every hard drive to find it all because it’s an easy Game Pass add. We want those games back up for people to have a chance to play.”
Currently, Transformers: Devastation, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, and Transformers: War for Cybertron are currently unavailable for purchase digitally. Some of the games can be played on Xbox consoles via backward compatibility, but a physical disk is required.
Transformers: Reactivate, a new co-op action game fromSplash Damage, was announced last year.
Transformers: Reactivate will tell an original story in which players take control of “some of their favourite characters; unique, weighty, and powerful, seamlessly converting between vehicle and bot form as they battle The Legion; the greatest threat the Autobots have ever faced”.
