343 Industries has said it’s still planning to launch a test flight of Halo Infinite’s campaign co-op mode this week, but it’s not guaranteed.
The studio recently confirmed that it was aiming to test campaign co-op and the game’s new Mission Replay feature this week.
In its originalHaloWaypoint announcement, the studio said the test flight was “targeted to run from the week of July 11”, seemingly leading some readers to expect it to launch on that date.
This was never the intended messaging, according to Brian Jarrard, community director at343 Industries.
Hetweetedon Monday: “PSA: The team is still working on our upcoming #HaloInfinite network co-op Insider flight build. While we always said our ‘target was the week of July 11’, many sites reported it simply as ‘starting July 11.’ Still hoping for this week, but it will not start today.
“Flighting is fluid as the process entails discovering issues in initial rings and resolving them before expanding to a larger audience,” he continued. “A few issues were discovered in our current flight ring and the team is working to address.
“Apologies to folks who expected the flight today – we’re eager to get this into your hands but we also want to ensure it’s a positive and worthwhile flight experience. Still targeting this week but it’s day by day as work continues. Ty for your patience and understanding.”

Players who want to participate in the co-op test will need to be signed up to the Halo Insider program.
Halo Infinite’s co-op mode,which has been delayed on several occasions, will let everyone taking partmake progress towards their own individual campaigns.
In a development progress update in April,343 said it was targeting “late August”for the release of the long-awaited online co-op mode.
