Disintegration, the new shooter from Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto, will release digitally on June 16 for consoles and PC, publisher Private Division has announced.

The release date news was accompanied by a new story trailer for the game, which offers the first glimpse atDisintegration’s cinematics.

Gameplay footage ofDisintegration’s single-player campaignwas first released in April.

Disintegration takes place around 150 years in the futurewhen in order to escape the threat of extinction many humans have had their brains ‘integrated’ into a robot frame.

Players take control of Romer Shoal and confront the Rayonne, a rising global army set on eliminating what remains of humanity.

Gameplay centres on piloting hovering, weaponised vehicles called Gravcycles, while simultaneously commanding up to four AI-controlled ground soldiers.

“The game has a full single-player campaign,” Lehto told VGC in aDisintegration interview. “It’s one of the things that we were really passionate about making in the original construction of our game: it started with a deep story and that’s woven throughout the campaign.”

V1 Interactive‘s debut game wasofficially revealed in August 2019via its multiplayer mode. Amultiplayer betalaunched in January 2020.

Disintegration’s multiplayer suite features three different game modes and six maps, with “more to come after launch.”
