Microsoft will release Halo 2: Anniversary for PC on May 12.
The game will be available through theMicrosoftStore,SteamandXboxGame Pass forPC.
It’s part of theHalo: The Master Chief Collection($40/£30) but is also expected to be released standalone likeHaloReach in December 2019 and Halo: Combat Evolved in March 2020, which cost $10/£7 each.
Following Halo 2, the rest of the games included in The Master Chief Collection will continue to get staggered releases for PC in chronological order (Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4).

The PC versions are being developed by343 Industriesin partnership withGears of Warco-developerSplash DamageandRuffian, which is known for its work on the Crackdown series.

Microsoft reiterated on Monday that its “goal” is to launchXbox Series Xduring the 2020 holiday season and confirmed thatHalo Infinite is currently on trackto be a launch title.
Following delays to first party softwareincluding Minecraft Dungeons and Wasteland 3, Xbox bossPhil Spencersaid last week thatgame production is a “bigger unknown” than the Series X hardwaredue to complications caused by remote working due to the coronavirus.
