Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition remasters will be released physically in December, it’s been claimed.
That’s according to retail sources who told Polish publicationPPEthat the three-game collection will indeed receive a boxed release, but only the last-gen versions will arrive before Christmas.
PS4,Xbox Oneand Switch versions will release Physically on December 7, the site’s sources claim, with PS5 andXbox Series X|Seditions arriving sometime next year.
Officially,Rockstarhas said only that the collection will release later this year for consoles andPC, followed by mobile in 2022.
The physical dates, if accurate, don’t necessarily rule out an earlier digital release for GTA: The Trilogy, and reliable industry insider Tom Henderson recently claimedRockstar was aiming for November.

Last week one retailer suggested that the three-game remaster packagewill be sold at a premium priceon new-gen consoles.
Retailer Base.comwas the first to open pre-orders for The Definitive Edition collection and according to them it’s set to be sold for $70 / £70 onPlayStation 5and Xbox Series X|S.
ThePlayStation 4,Nintendo Switchand Xbox One versions of Trilogy are listed by the retailer with an RRP of $60 / £60. Rockstar is yet to confirm official pricing details.

Announced earlier this week, GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is set to include enhanced versions of GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas with visual improvements and “modern gameplay enhancements”.
Alongside the announcement, Rockstar confirmed it would remove the existing versions of the games – which were occasionally available as a bundle for less than $10 – from digital storefronts includingSteam.
