Rockstar Games tweet announcing the release of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 is now the most-liked gaming-related tweet of all time.
The post, which confirmed that the firstGrand Theft Auto 6 trailer will arrive on December 5, received over 1.8 million likes in 24hrs.
The previous most-liked gaming-related tweet was also fromRockstar, its November 2023 tweet confirming that the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto game would be arriving in December.
Rockstar confirmed in February 2022 that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series was “well underway”, but it didn’t provide any more details about the game.
However, in September 2022, one of the games industry’s most high-profile data leaks saw over an hour ofGTA 6 development footage published online, giving players their first look at the sequel to one of the best-selling games of all time.
The leaked footage included open-world gameplay from an alpha build of GTA 6, and seemingly confirmed a previous report which claimed the gamewill take place in Vice City and feature a female protagonist.
