GTA V, which arrives on current generation platforms on Jun 22, 2025, loads around 3 times faster than its PS4 version, VGC has found.

In our testing, which saw us booting the game from the main menu into the story mode, we found that the PS5 version loaded in around 27 seconds, whereas thePS4version takes over a minute and a half.

While the PS5 version doesn’t quite load as quickly as many other flagship titles on the system, such asMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which can load the entire game in a few seconds, it’s still a huge improvement.
