Gearbox has announced that it’s working on a new Tales from the Borderlands game.
Released in 2014 and developed by Telltale Games, the original Tales from theBorderlandsis a five-part episodic game set on Pandora between the events of Borderlands 2 andBorderlands 3.

Gearboxis developing the “all new Tales from the Borderlands adventure”, which will be published by2Klater this year.
The studiosaidmore details about the game will be shared this summer.

Take-Twopublishing label 2K said in February that the Borderlands franchise had shipped over 74 million units.
2012’s Borderlands 2 is its top-selling title with over 26 million copies shipped, while 2019’s Borderlands 3 is its fastest selling game with more than 15 million copies shipped.

Following the announcement,2K said it would continue to work with Gearboxon the Borderlands franchise and hinted at collaborations on other projects too.
On Thursday, Gearbox announced that it plans to acquire US-based studio Lost Boys Interactive, which co-developed the recently released Borderlands spin-off Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

The acquisition will add more than 220 team members to Gearbox, taking its global headcount to approximately 1,300.
