GameStop will have PlayStation 5 console bundles available to purchase at some branches this Thursday.
As previously reported, consoles will only be available atselected stores. They’ll also be reserved for GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro members.

Starting at $14.99,GameStop Promembership includes loyalty rewards, extra trade in credit, a Game Informer subscription, plus access to exclusive offers and events.
GameStop is selling Xbox Series X consoles onlineon Wednesday, including a $649 bundle which comes with an extra controller, a three-monthXboxGame Pass Ultimate subscription and a $50 gift card.

Sonyrecently started taking new registrations forthe chance to buy PS5 consoles directly from the company.
Havingmade a limited number of PS5 consoles availablefor US consumers to purchase fromPlayStationDirect over the holiday season, it’s now taking fresh sign-ups and has extended the offer to some European countries.

Registration iscurrently openfor players based in the US, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. They will need to use an email address associated with a PlayStation Network ID and opt in to receive marketing emails.
Sony claimed last July thatPS5 had become its fastest selling console everafter topping 10 million sales in about eight months.

The company has said itintends to ship more than 22.6 million PS5 consolesduring its next fiscal year beginning in April 2022. If achieved, it would beat a 24-year-old console sales record set by the original PlayStation.
