Gamescom Opening Night Live will include new game announcements, as well as updates on previously revealed titles.
That’s according to show host and producerGeoff Keighley, who used X on Tuesday to tease plans for next week’s event.

Some of the previously announced games set to be featured includeCall of Duty: Black Ops 6,Monster Hunter Wilds,Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,Sid Meier’s Civilization VII,Marvel Rivalsand Dune Awakening,” he said.
“Yes, there will be new game announcements,” Keighley confirmed in a follow-up post.

His last major gaming showcase, June’sSummer Game Festlive event,largely focused on previously announced gamesscheduled for release this year.

Opening Night Live will take place on August 20, with the mainGamescomevent running from August 21-25 in Cologne, Germany. Keighley’s kick-off show will be streamed live at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST / 8pm CEST.
THQ Nordichas already confirmed plans to reveal a new game from Little Nightmares developerTarsier Studiosduring Opening Night Live.

Keighley previously said that the show will include the first look at gameplay from Don’t Nod’sLost Records: Bloom & Rage, and a new trailer forWarhorse Studios’Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2too.
