Gamescom has announced the initial exhibitor list for 2020’s event in Cologne, Germany.
It includes platform holdersXboxandNintendo, butSony Interactive Entertainmentis yet to be confirmed for the show, which will take place from August 25-29.

The first wave of confirmed exhibitors also includes Bandai Namco, Bethesda,Capcom,CD Projekt, EA,Sega,THQ NordicandUbisoft.
Gamescom 2019attracted a record 373,000 visitors, while the number of exhibiting companies totalled 1,150, according to organiser Koelnmesse.

While it may yet decide to exhibit atGamescom 2020, Sony’s absence is a notable one. The platform holder has already opted to skip E3 in June in order to showcasePlayStation 5at other events.
“We will build upon our global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe,”the company said in January. “Our focus is on making sure fans feel part of thePlayStationfamily and have access to play their favourite content.”
