Nintendo has finally revealed its new console, Nintendo Switch 2, and we’ve published the first images in a gallery below.
In aNintendo Switch 2 reveal videopublished on Thursday, the platform holder confirmed the console will release this year, with a full reveal planned for April 2.
As expected,Switch 2will sport a similar formfactor to the originalSwitch, with detachable joins – this time magnetic – and a large screen.
The Joy-Cons also now appear to be black with the colour appearing under the sticks and at the side where they connect to the console, and its kickstand is now longer and U-shaped.
Nintendohas yet to officially confirm a release date or price for the console, meaning at least some speculation will continue as its release nears.
There will, however, be aNintendo Directfocusing on the Switch 2 on April 2. Nintendo showcased what appears to bea new Mario Kart gameduring the trailer.
