Xbox has confirmed that the new Forza Motorsport will be released in spring 2023.
Simply titledForza Motorsportat the moment, the game was shown off in a lengthy gameplay trailer, whichXboxclaimed was all running in real-time in 4K.

Turn10’s GM ofForza,Dan Greenawalt, confirmed that the will feature “on-track ray tracing”, in a potential jibe atGran Turismo 7.
He also confirmed that he game had been “built from the ground up” forXbox Series Xand S, confirming that it will be current-gen only.

The game will also be available onPCand via cloud gaming, meaningXbox Oneowners will theoretically still be able to play it by streaming it.
The trailer showed the returning Maple Valley track, as well as Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Laguna Seca Raceway. It also showed off two new tracks – Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa, and Circuit Hakone in Japan.

During the gameplay presentation, creative directorChris Esakisaid: “We’ve completely overhauled the driving experience. This includes a 48x improvement in the fidelity of our physics simulation.”
The game will make use of advanced rendering and procedural generation techniques, and will also feature a new ‘dynamic time of day’ system, which can be applied to every track (as can weather effects).

According to Turn10, changes in the time of day alter have an impact on the track surface temperatures, which in turn affects car grip.
Showing the game’s new damage model, Esaki said: “In Forza Motorsport, car damage is reproduced down to the individual scratches on the bodywork.

“you may see here some of the new details in the directionality of damage, how the paint peels away at exposed and raised edges, in the wheel abrasions, and even in the dirt buildup.”
