“We’re aware of a crash impacting Series X and Series S players in the latest Forza Horizon4 update,” it reported. “We’re working on a fix and will update when we have an ETA.”

It later advised players that there was a workaround but warned that it could delete their progress.
“The current workaround is to take your console offline, launch the game, then re-enable online via theXbox Series X/Sdashboard,” it said. “DO NOT attempt these steps if you’ve already deleted your local save. This will cause you to lose your progress and start the game from scratch.”

A few hours later, it added: “The team is currently working on a fix and hoping to have an update by tomorrow [Friday]. We thank you for your patience.”
