Epic Games has launched Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7, which is titled Invasion.
The game’s latest season brings an alien invasion to theFortnite’s island, and with it a range of new gameplay features.
For a start, players who get caught by a UFO (Saucer) will be transported to a random location on the Island.
However, if players manage to shoot down a Saucer, they can pilot the alien craft and command both its abduction beam and energy cannon. Teammates can even stand on top of the vehicle to provide extra firepower.
New weaponry introduced to combat the invaders includes a recon scanner which fires bolts that mark nearby opponents and chests, and a rail gun that shoots through structures. The aliens come equipped with ray guns at launch and will start using more unique tech later in the season.

Players who purchase the Season 7 battle pass will immediately unlock a customisable alien. They’ll also be able to unlock skins for Superman and Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty, among others, by completing various challenges.
