AEW wrestler Kenny Omega has debuted a new theme song by Final Fantasy 14 & 16’s composer, featuring Nobuo Uematsu.
Omega returned to the ring this weekend during Wrestle Dynasty, which is taking place at Japan’s Tokyo Dome. Omega announced that he has commissioned a new theme song by Masayoshi Soken, who composed music for both Final Fantasy 14 andFinal Fantasy 16
Jason Miller, a veteran voice actor with hundreds of video game credits, has provided vocals for the new song. Nobuo Uematsu also provided a “special voice,” according to Omega.

Omega is a big fan of the Final Fantasy series and has incorporated elements from the franchise into his wrestling career over the years. His finishing move is named the One Winged Angel, and during his entrance at Wrestle Kingdom 17, he entered to a rearrangement of Sephiroth’s theme from Final Fantasy 7.
Composer Masayoshi Soken recently toldVGCthat his favorite video game soundtrack of the year was from Fantasian: Neo Dimension by Nobuo Uematsu.
“I’m the kind of person to listen to a wide range of genres with no particular limit, having rock, bossa nova and classical music as my pillars, but I’ve been listening to game soundtracks less and less recently,” Soken said.
“Huh? I think I wrote that phrase last year too… It seems a year has passed in the blink of an eye… Despite this, there is one game title that made me think ‘I should listen to this game’s soundtrack carefully’. That is FANTASIAN.”
