Physical copies of Final Fantasy 16 are reportedly in the wild more than a week before its official release, according to several social media users who’ve begun posting images and details of the game.
While retail leaks of modern games are common due to the time required to ship a game to a retail location, the fact the game is already in players’ hands a week early means social media will soon likely be heavily populated with spoilers.
So far the spoilers, which we won’t link to here, are mainly from early on in the game. Naturally, however, as players spend more time with it, spoilers from later in the game will start to emerge.
Final Fantasy 16will be released onPlayStation 5on June 22. Aplayable demo for the gameis now available to download.
In aFinal Fantasy 16 previewpublished last month, we said the game has the potential to be one of the best titles in the series, which launched in 1987 and had shipped over 173 million copies as of March 2022.
