Images claiming to show the Joy-Con controllers for Nintendo’s unannounced Switch 2 console could be hinting at a new feature, it’s claimed.
At the weekend, images began circulating onlineclaiming to show Switch 2’s Joy-Cons, allegedly originating from a factory in China that is currently producingNintendo’s next console.

If authentic, the images corroborate previous claims that theSwitch 2controllers will be larger than their predecessors and feature a magnetic connection.
However, social media users believe the images could be hiding another feature. In the side-on image of the alleged Switch 2 Joy-Con, it appears that the controller could include an optical sensor similar to aPCmouse.

This has led some to speculate that the Switch 2 Joy-Cons could be useable as mouse-like controllers, similar toLenovo’s Legion Go handheld.
The speculation is partly fuelled bylast year’s alleged Switch 2 shipping data, which specifically mentioned “mouse” parts.
