Fable developer Playground Games appears to have opened a third studio.
As spotted byWccftech, the UK developer’sLinkedIn pagemakes reference to three studios, all of which are based in Leamington Spa.

“Today, Playground has three world-class studios in Leamington Spa,” the developer’s About tab on LinkedIn reads.
“In our original HQ, we continue to support and grow the huge, vibrant Horizon community. In our new studios on the other side of town, we are excited to be developing Fable, a new beginning for the legendary franchise.”

This is different to theAbout pageon the officialPlayground Gameswebsite, which still makes reference to just two studios.
“Today, Playground has two world-class studios in Leamington Spa,” it reads. “In our original HQ, we continue to support and grow the huge, vibrant Horizon community. In our new studio on the other side of town, we are excited to be developing Fable, a new beginning for the legendary franchise.”

It’s not yet clear how the third studio differs from the others, or how many staff are working there.
After years of speculation,Xboxfinally announced last month thatFable will be released in 2025, and will be available on Game Pass on Xbox andPCon day one.

Playground Games – which is usually best known for theForza Horizonseries of open-world racing games – also confirmed thatit’s been collaborating with Eidos Montrealon the game.
The lastEidos Montrealgame released was 2021’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which was met with a generally positive critical response butdidn’t meet Square Enix’s sales expectations.
