Electronic Arts has announced a June 17, 2025 release date for F1 23.

The latest entry in theCodemasters-developed racing series will be available forPS5,Xbox Series X/S, andPCviaEAApp,Epic Games StoreandSteam.

The digital-only F1 23 Champions Edition will include a range of bonuses including three-day early access starting on June 13.

The game was unveiled on Wednesday with a reveal trailer which is viewable below.

Headlining this year’s release is the return of the story mode Braking Point, which debuted in F1 2021 before beingomitted from last year’s series entry.

It casts former rivals Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler as teammates forKonnersport Racing Team, a fictitious organisation pitting itself against the current crop of real-world F1 teams and drivers.

F1 23 will play home to every team, driver and circuit for the 2023 season, including the new Las Vegas Grand Prix.

In ablog postaccompanying the game’s reveal trailer, EA promised improved vehicle handling for both wheel and pad players, as well as the introduction of several features based on community feedback.

These include red flags, which are returning to the series after a nine-year absence, a new 35% race distance previously only seen in F1 esports, and a new colour encoding system similar to that used in film and TV.

Also new to the series is F1 World, a hub that “helps introduce players to the complex world of Formula 1 by tying together multiple game modes such as Time Trial, Grand Prix, and Multiplayer”.

EA said it will feature “an ever-changing roster of seasonal content with daily and weekly challenges to get stuck into” and “enable players to “unlock new liveries, race suits, and helmets as part of a new progression system”.

As part of a recently announcedpartnership with Max Verstappen, EA also confirmed that the back-to-back and reigning F1 world champion will be the cover star for the Champions Edition of the game.
