Elden Ring won the top prize at The Game Awards 2022, where it scooped several awards including the coveted Game of the Year.
FromSoftware‘s RPG epic fought off competition fromGod of WarRagnarok, which also had a successful night winning several awards.

Elden Ring directorHidetaka Miyazaki‘s Game of the Year acceptance speech was followed by a bizarre moment when a member of the audience appeared to join the FromSoftware team on stage, before grabbing the mic and shouting out “his orthodox Rabbi Bill Clinton.”

According to hostGeoff Keighley, the individual has now been arrested.
TheBandai NamcoRPG, which has soldover 17 million copiesand isthe highest-rated new game of the year, also received a pair ofPlayStation Partner Awardslast week, including the Grand Award (for the best-selling game developed in Asia) and the Users’ Choice award.
