Electronic Arts will officially announce the new Need for Speed game later this week, it’s confirmed.

Atrailer for the new gamewill premiere on Thursday, October 6 at 4pm BST / 11am EST.

EA will reveal the new Need for Speed this week

EAconfirmed in May that the nextNeed for Speedgamewould be released in the fourth quarter of 2022.

It’s been claimed that the title will be set in a fictionalised version of Chicago called Lake Shore City and featurea photo-realistic art style mixed with anime elements.

Need for Speed Mobile gameplay footage has reportedly leaked

A short gameplay clipof the title seemingly leaked in August, showing a car crashing while attempting to jump through an obstacle.

EA announced in February 2020 that it had handed Need for Speed development dutiesback to Criterion Gamesas it planned to restructureGhost Games, which made the previous four entries in the racing series
