EA Sports FC 24 topped the UK physical game charts this week, coming on top after the Black Friday dust has settled.
As reported byGamesIndustry.biz,EA‘s football game climbed back up from third place to first.

This was partly due to Black Friday deals, with numerous UK retailersselling EA Sports FC 24 for up to 50% off its standard price.
This led to a 101% increase in sales for the game, pushing it back up to the top of the charts and forcing last week’s number one game,Hogwarts Legacy, down to the number 2 spot.

According to GI.biz’s report, UK physical sales in the UK during the Black Friday period were up 7% compared to the same period in 2022.
Elsewhere in the charts,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3slipped down from 2 to 3, whileSuper Mario Bros Wonderclimbed from 5 to 4.

The Black Friday sales also saw a return to the top 10 from some games that had previously dropped out.Mario Kart 8 Deluxerose from 11th to 6th, presumably due to numerous customers buyingSwitchconsoles includinga new Switch OLED bundlethat included the game.
One of the bigger beneficiaries of Black Friday sales wasStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, which leapt up from number 32 to number 10.

As ever, it should be noted that these are physical game charts, meaning digital sales aren’t taken into account.
Xbox,PlayStationandNintendoall held large-scale Black Friday sales on their own digital storefronts, but none of the games bought there count towards these charts.
