Electronic Arts’ new football brand is off to a strong start, according to the publisher.
EA Sports FC 24attracted “more than 11.3 million players worldwide, including throughEAPlay”, during its first week, the company has claimed.
EA SportsFCMobile, the latest in the company’s series of mobile football games, which has also rebranded following EA’s split with FIFA, was installed 2.2 million times on its release day, according to EA.
In the 10 days following its September 26 release, over 11.2 million new users downloaded the game, it said.
“We’re thrilled to have so many fans jumping into The World’s Game in both EA Sports FC 24 and FC Mobile in just the first few days since launch,” said EA Sports president Cam Weber.
“In addition to welcoming back millions of our longtime players, new players in FC 24 are up nearly 20% year over year, showing the excitement of football fans everywhere to join the Club. We are building the world’s biggest football community through EA Sports FC, and we’re just getting started.”
