Guy ‘Dr Disrespect‘ Beahm has said he’s suing Twitch over his ban from the Amazon-owned streaming platform.
Beahm was one of Twitch’s most popular streaming personalities prior to the June 2020termination of an exclusive deal with the platform, which was said to have been worth as much as $10 million a year.

Unlike a temporary Twitch ban he received in 2019 forbroadcasting from an E3 restroom, Beahm’s latest Twitch ban is reportedly permanent.
Twitch has never publicly confirmed the reason for the ban and Beahm claimed last July that it hadn’t provided him with an explanation either.

Beahm said his Twitch ban has had a massive impact on his business and that he’s currently earning around a quarter of what he was making when he was steaming on the platform.
He added: “A lot of people ask me, ‘Do you know the reason?’ Yeah, I do know the reason why now, I’ve known for months now, the reason why. And I’ll just say this right now champs, there’s a reason why we’re suing the fuck out of them. I don’t know how else to put it.”

Beahm, who once worked as a community manager and level designer at Call of Duty makerSledgehammer Games, recently revealed plans tostart his own game development studio, which plans to partner with “mega influencers” to create a series of titles.
