The new-gen console upgrade for Doom Eternal is now live as part of the game’s latest patch, and its includes a bonus gun skin that shows off the new ray-tracing functionality.
Update 6 optimises the game forXbox Series X/Sand PS5, adding support for ray tracing, 120fps and 4K60fps modes.

The new update also adds ray-tracing for PC owners who have hardware that supports it.
But it also gifts players a free reflective skin for the Ballista weapon called “Raytracer”, which is designed to show off the new ray-tracing support.

The new update also adds a free new Master Level challenge set in Taras Nabad, which is supposed to “challenge the player beyond anything seen in the base campaign” and will reward players with new cosmetics if they can complete it in different difficulties and modes.
On PC,Doom Eternalhas also added support for DLSS forNvidiacard users. DLSS is a feature exclusive to Nvidia’s RTX graphics cards and works by using AI to upscale the resolution ofPC games, effectively allowing players to achieve higher graphical settings and better frame rates from their systems.

BATTLEMODE’s latest arena: Corrosion is a forgotten fortress that’s been ravaged by a hellish swamp. Players will engage in frenetic firefights through the outer Battlements and ambush deep into the inner Catacombs.
The Courtyard acts as the arena’s centerpiece, and provides cover with plenty of mobility options. Expect high showdown potential between the Demon Players and DOOM Slayer in this new arena.
