Bethesda has announced that Doom Eternal and The Elder Scrolls Online will be released for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
Players who own or purchase either title onXbox OneorPlayStation 4will be able to upgrade for free to the next-gen versions when they’re available, it said.
Additionally, both titles will support backwards compatibility when the new consoles launch.
Bethesdasaid on Thursday that it was “committed to offer free upgrades for current-generation console owners of existing Bethesda titles we bring forward into the next generation of consoles.”
So far every publisher which has offered a next-gen game upgrade has done so for free. As reported by VGC last month,Xbox has encouraged publishers to offer free upgrades, even if they don’t support its Smart Delivery scheme.

Further Bethesda news is expected duringQuakeCon at Home, which runs between August 7 and 9.
