Activision Blizzard has confirmed plans to release Diablo 4 in 2023.

The game,which won’t be playable offline, was originally announced in 2019 forPC,Xbox OneandPS4.

It is now coming toPS5andXbox Series X/Stoo, with cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms. The game will also support couch-co-op on consoles.

Blizzard has alsoopened pre-registration for a Diablo 4 beta, which hasn’t yet been dated.

Development ofDiablo 4has been hampered by high-profile team members leaving the studio, with game director Luis Barriga, lead designer Jesss McCree andWorld of Warcraftsenior designer Joonathan LeCraftexiting the company last year.

Blizzard also announced on Sunday thatOverwatch 2 is launching in early access on October 4as a free-to-play title.

The sequel, which includes a new five-versus-five setup and cross-play, will release for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 andSwitch.
