Detroit: Become Human will launch for PC exclusively through the Epic Games Store on May 27, 2025.

Costing £29.99, it will be released alongside a free playable demo featuring the game’s opening scene.

Previously only available onPS4, the sci-fi game is set in 2038 in a world where human-like androids built to serve are omnipresent.

Players take on the role of three distinct androids and face a series of life-or-death moral dilemmas in a story featuring a branching narrative.

Detroit: Become Human’s cast includes Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy), Clancy Brown (Carnivale), Lance Henriksen (Aliens) and Valorie Curry (Twilight).

Detroit: Become Human has sold over 3.2 million copiessince its PS4 release in May 2018.

Earlier this year Quantic Dream releasedHeavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls on PC via the Epic Games store.

Prior to that the titles had only been released onPlayStationplatforms, due to an exclusive working relationship between Quantic Dream andSonywhich ended in January 2019 after more than a decade.

Quantic Dream CEO David Cage said recently that unless there are specific exclusivity deals in place on a title-by-title basis, all the studio’s games will be multiplatform at launch.

He also saidhe believes “cloud play is going to be the next revolution in gaming”and that improvements in lighting technology rather than increased resolutionsare going to be key to boosting realism in games over the coming years.
