Dead Space creator Glen Schofield will announce a new story-based PUBG title at The Game Awards this week.
The formerSledgehammerand Visceral general manager was appointed as CEO of a newPUBG Corporationdevelopment studiocalled Striking Distance in 2019.

At the time, he said PUBG Corporation was keen to expand the series beyond battle royale and that he was planning to craft “an original narrative experience in thePUBGuniverse”.
Schofield has been buildingStriking Distancefrom the ground up and it now has over 100 employees,including former Call of Duty and Dead Space developers.

Game Awards producerGeoff Keighleyconfirmed on Tuesday that Striking Distance’s debut title will be one of “12-15” brand new games announced at this week’s event.

“I think there are a good dozen+ games that will be announced/revealed at the show for the first time,” Keighley said during a recentReddit AMA.
Microsoftwill also reportedlymake an announcement at the Game Awards 2020, which will be streamed live on December 10 from 3.30pm PT/6.30pm ET/11.30pm GMT.
