Speculation around a potential new Dead Space game increased on Thursday, after it was noticed that the game’s official YouTube channel was recently updated for the first time in nearly a decade.
Theofficial Dead Space YouTubechannel recently changed its profile picture from the logo of 2013 instalmentDead Space3, to generic art for the series.
It’s the first change made on the channel since shortly after the release of that game eight years ago, and it’s significant in its timing.

Last week it was reported thatElectronic Arts is set to announce a new instalment in the Dead Space series, developed by itsMotivestudio (Star Wars Squadrons). The new game – the horror series’ first new entry in a decade – will be a “reimagining” of the series, according toGematsu.

The recent update to Dead Space’s social media channel could be seen as potential corroboration of this report, but it could also be an old employee with the keys to the account, since original creator Visceral was shut down.
Either way, there are only several weeks to wait untilEA Play Live on July 22, when the alleged new Dead Space is claimed to be planned for a reveal.
The Dead Space series first released in 2008 and has not seen a new instalment since 2013’s Dead Space 3. The series’ developer, Visceral Games, was closed byEAin 2017.
Following the closure of Visceral, many of Dead Space’s senior developers formed a newPUBG Corporationdevelopment studiocalled Striking Distance in 2019.
