Days Gone was the 20th best-selling game of May 2021 in the US, according to market research firm the NPD Group.

TheBend Studiodeveloped game jumped from No.247 on April’s chart to No.20 following itsPC release via Steam on May 18.

Bloomberg claimed in April thatBend had a Days Gone 2 pitch rejected by Sonyfollowing a disappointing critical reception to the original game.

PlayStationStudios boss Herman Hulst has since said thatBend is working on “a very exciting new IPthat they’re very, very passionate about,” adding: “They’re building on the deep open-world systems that they developed withDays Gone.”
