Cyberpunk 2077 game director Gabe Amatangelo has confirmed that the studio isn’t planning any more big updates for the title.

CD ProjektreleasedCyberpunk 2077’s much-anticipated Version 2.0 updatelast week, which overhauled many of its core systems.

And the game’s only planned expansion,Phantom Liberty, followed this week.

WhileCD Projekt Redis still expected to address some issues with the game via minor updates, it now plans to switch its attention to other projects, including the game’s sequel.

“2.0 and Phantom Liberty are the last big updates,” Amatangelo toldPC Gamer. “We’ll do a little something more, but those are the last big ones.”

He added: “Then it’s Cyberpunk 2. Or ‘Orion,’ I should say, whatever we end up naming it.”

CD Projekt said last month that itsdecision to only release a single expansion for Cyberpunk 2077was a technological onedue to the company’s switch to Unreal Engine development.

It also said “a big part” of Phantom Liberty’s 300-strong team wouldjoin the 260 developers working on the next mainline Witcher gameafter the expansion’s release.

The next Cyberpunk game, Project Orion, will now enter development ata new US-based studio called CD Projekt Red North America.
