CD Projekt Red has announced the first Cyberpunk 2077 DLC.

Revealed during a live stream on Tuesday, the content will include free cosmetic items set to be introduced as part ofthe game’s 1.3 patch, which will be released “really soon”.

They will include new jackets, a new car, and a Johnny Silverhand alternative appearance, which players must reach certain points in the game to gain access to.

“This patch is our biggest one to date,” senior level designer Miles Tost said during Tuesday’s stream. “We’ve put a lot of effort into this one, so consider the DLCs that we have now as sort of goodies, sort of cherries on top.

“The reality of course, and we’ve talked about this in the past, is that we differentiate a bit between different kinds of extra content, between DLCs, additional items of which we will have plenty coming down the road, and of course the gigantic expansion passes which we will have something to say about later.”

Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC and story expansions were initially due to be announced before the game’s release, but plans changed following several delays to the title, which launched in December 2020.

Last September,CD ProjektpresidentAdam KicińskisaidCyberpunk 2077 would follow a similar DLC plan to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

“You can expect a similar path [toThe Witcher 3] after release,” he told investors. “You can expect more, actually. We’re not going into too many details today, but everything will be clear before release.”

Cyberpunk 2077 senior quest designer Patrick Mills reiterated the DLC plan during Tuesday’s stream.

“We can’t talk about the expansion, but I can say that, without promising anything, I’m working on it and I think it’s cool. Miles and I are working on it together and I’m really excited about what we’re working on,” he said.

“Just in case it wasn’t clear, all of these DLCs, these are going to be smaller DLCs, some are going to be bigger DLCs, but they’re all free,” Mills added. “All of those are free. Expansions, just like for Witcher, those are going to be paid but we’ll have more to say later.”

Tuesday’s stream also provided more details on the game’s upcoming patch 1.3, which will mainly focus on stability improvements and bug fixes.

As reported on Monday, upcoming changes include a zoomed out mini-map which will enable players to see more and navigate Night City better, and a cheaper perks reset option which will let players experiment more with builds.

It will also be made clearer whether players are choosing between Angel or Skye when they visit the Clouds establishment in the Automatic Love quest.
