The first details of planned Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer modes may have been uncovered by dataminers.
References to Heists and Deathmatch multiplayer modes are present in the game’s executable file,DSOGamingreports.

Code related to Heists suggests players may be able to choose from various character classes in a co-op mission-based game mode.
The datamine also hints that multiplayer may rely on P2P connections rather than dedicated servers but given Cyberpunk’s online component is some way off releasing, even if the information is currently accurate it may be subject to change.

CD Projekthas actually said its Cyberpunk multiplayer project won’t be aCyberpunk 2077add-on butits own “triple-A” release.
The company said last January that its Cyberpunk multiplayer game wasn’t likely to arrive before 2022, although its launch window may have been pushed back by 2077’s multiple delays andtroubled launch.

Duringa conference call with investorsand members of the financial media in December 2020, the company was asked if the earliest people should now expect the Cyberpunk multiplayer game is in 2023.
“First and foremost, we haven’t confirmed any date yet, and as I said before, it’s hard to judge now,” CD Projekt president and joint CEOAdam Kicińskiresponded. “We are in a situation which was not planned and we’ll have to reassess where we are and that’s the plan for January.”

Kiciński has also said CD Projekt expects to share information about the Cyberpunk multiplayer game and other new titlesduring a strategy update in Q1 this year, either at a dedicated event or as part of the company’s full-year financial results, which are traditionally announced in March (although in 2020 they were published in early April).
