Cosmetics retailer Lush has launched a limited edition Super Mario Bros. product range.
The eight-piececollectionhas been released to tie-in with the Mario movie, which hits cinemas next month.
It features Mario and Luigi shower gels, Princess Peach body spray, gold coin soap, Peach and Bowser shower jellies, a question block bath bomb and a gift box.
Universal Pictures recently announced that the Mario film’s release date had beenbrought forward to April 5in over 60 markets, including the US and the UK.
Nintendoand Illumination released thefirst trailer for Mario Bros. moviein October, giving fans the chance to hear Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario for the first time.
This was followed bya second trailer in November, which revealed the voices of Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Luigi (Charlie Day). It also showed a racing scene inspired by Mario Kart.
ANintendo Directpresentation themed around the movie aired this month. It featuredthe film’s third trailer, which included more footage of the Rainbow Road section, a Luma from Super Mario Galaxy, and Donkey Kong getting a Fire Flower and gaining its powers.
Illumination also released the following synopsis for the movie.
“While working underground to fix a water main, Brooklyn plumbers Mario (Chris Pratt; Jurassic World and The Lego Movie franchises) and brother Luigi (Charlie Day; It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are transported down a mysterious pipe and wander into a magical new world. But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on an epic quest to find Luigi.
“With the assistance of a Mushroom Kingdom resident Toad (Keegan-Michael Key; The Lion King) and some training from the strong-willed ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy;The Queen’s Gambit), Mario taps into his own power.”
