Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Following a series of leaks, the publisher officially unveiled the first-person shooter sequel via the teaser trailer on this page, with a release date of November 10.

Sledgehammer Games, the studio behind 2017’s WWII and 2014’s Advanced Warfare,tweeted the teaser traileron Monday, seemingly confirming reports that it’s developing this year’s game.

In February,Bloombergclaimed Activision had originally planned to release a major Modern Warfare 2 expansion this year, but that the DLC had morphed into a full game.

Citing people familiar with the project, it claimed Activision’s goal for the new Call of Duty is to make a game that feels “like a standalone, full-price release and also an extension of Modern Warfare II”.
