Capcom reportedly received a mystery IP royalty payment of ¥2 billion ($18.74 million) during its first fiscal quarter ended June 30.

The payment was highlighted on Twitter by Japan-based analyst and investment advisor David Gibson.

But that the most interesting is that Capcom booked a ¥2bn or $19m royalty one-off from deals for their IP in Digital Contents….did they license their IP to MSFT or Google for a streaming platform game? Do not think its a China deal…so who was it with?

The one-off booking is alsothought to bethe subject of a question fielded byCapcomduring its quarterly earnings call.
