Activision has announced a new Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone anti-cheat measure that can make regular players undetectable to cheaters.

Dubbed ‘Cloaking’, the cheating mitigation technique not only makes regular players invisible, but also makes bullets and sounds from legitimate players undetectable.

Call of Duty’s anti-cheat system can now make players invisible to cheaters

“Legitimate players, however, can see cheaters impacted by cloaking (generally, they’ll be the players you see spinning in circles hollering, ‘Who is shooting me?!’) and can dole out in-game punishment,”Activisionsaid.

A previously revealed mitigation technique, Damage Shield, can disable players’ ability to inflict critical damage on others if the server detects them tampering with the game in real-time.
