Controller support for Call of Duty: Mobile has been removed via an update and is no longer supported, according to Activision’s customer support team.

Prior to the title’s official launch on Tuesday,Call of Duty Mobile controller support was included in the iOS and Android game’s settings, leading many to believe it would be available upon release.

However, according to a post on theActivisionSupport Twitter account, the feature was disabled during an update coinciding with the game’s launch window.

Asked about controller support, an Activision representative tweeted: “Unfortunately, this is no longer supported after the most recent update.”

Call of Duty: Mobile released on Tuesdayin all countries where the App Store andGooglePlay are supported with the exceptions of mainland China, Vietnam and Belgium.

Some users initially experienced problems logging in to play the free-to-play game due to “an incredibly high-volume of traffic”, but Activision said these issues were resolved on Tuesday.

Developed byTencent’s Timi studio, the game brings together maps, modes, weapons and characters from across the Call of Duty franchise, including the Black Ops andModern Warfareseries.

Call of Duty: Mobile is playable on PCvia Android emulator GameLoop, which offers mouse and keyboard controls plus “exclusive key mapping”.
