This year’s Call of Duty won’t offer early access to the campaign, as has been the case for recent entries.
For the past few years,Activisionhas offered players who pre-order the latest Call of Duty game early access to the Campaign mode, usually a week before the full release.

This year, however, the company has chosen not to do the same, according to a statement it sent toCharlie Intel.
The statement reads: “The team is fully focused on October 25. We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies.

“This year, we made the decision to ensure the community gets to dig in to any and all modes that they want at the same time, so we are back to one massive global launch moment on October 25.
“As such, there is no Early Access beat this year forBlack Ops 6, just the countdown to launch.”

Earlier this year, Microsoft announcedthat Black Ops 6 will be the first Call of Duty title to launch on Game Pass on day one, when it’s released on August 01, 2025.

Activision also recently said that itaims to make Call of Duty install sizes smaller.
In recent years, players downloading standalone Call of Duty games will also install the free-to-play gameWarzoneby default if they don’t already have it.

Activision says this will now change, and that when players buy a new Call of Duty game they’ll only have to install the files required for that game.
