Black Myth: Wukong DLC is reportedly planned for release in early 2025.
According to China-based journalist and games industry consultantDaniel Camilo,Game Sciencewants to launch an expansion for the game to coincide with the Chinese New Year, which begins on Jun 25, 2025.
Camilo said he’d heard from “very reliable first hand sources” that the DLC will arrive “right at the end of January, or very soon after”.
“Needless to say that plans can always change,” he said in a follow-up post on X. “While teams have internal plans and roadmaps, nothing is hardly ever set in stone when it comes to release dates in gaming…”
Black Myth: WukongDLC hasn’t officially been announced, but Game Science investor Hero Games recently toldBloombergthat an expansion is in development.
Camilo’s sources also claimed the game has sold 20 million copies since its release forPS5andPCon August 20.
With a development budget of approximately $70 million, Black Myth: Wukong has reportedly earned over $800 million to date.
“This makes it one of the fastest selling games of all time, only overshadowed by games like GTAV and MW2,” according toDaniel Ahmad, director of research and insights at Niko Partners.
