Turtle Rock Studios has confirmed that Back 4 Blood will require an online connection even when the game is being played solo.
While the game’s campaign can be played solo with three AI teammates, this can’t be done offline.

“We’re looking into ways we could support offline for the future but you will need an internet connection to play at launch,” the studio confirmed recently on Twitter.

Turtle Rockalso revealed that everyone in aBack 4 Bloodparty will be able to play premium DLC if the content is owned by the group leader.

“In PvE, if your party leader owns a paid content drop, you will be able to play that content with them – including maps, gameplay and campaign,”it said.
The studio also moved to explain how PvP will “not be pay-to-win” when it plans to sell content drops.

Players will be able to access all additional PvP content, including new characters, through progression, and all PvP players will have access to the same cards (which offer customisation options) at the start of each match, Turtle Rock said.
